Our muscles need time to recover.
Workouts break muscles down… rest rebuilds them stronger!
All week we’ve been working hard breaking our muscles down, now we need to give them – and our brains - a chance to recover. So make sure you’re getting adequate rest! It’s just as important as your workout.
Today or tomorrow should be a total rest day.

*This week we are switching to an upper / lower body split plan with an emphasis on legs. We’ll be pushing Monday and pulling Wednesday and then blasting our legs Tuesday & Thursday with an optional leg workout on Saturday – if you can handle it. If you feel sore or tired, don’t do the Saturday workout, I suggest you do a long set of the stretching routine.
So if you want a weekend rest day, today is your day.
If you’re like me and like to workout on the weekends, go to Monday, July 1st workout and your rest day will be tomorrow [Monday].
